In 2010 I was commissioned by Nike to complete several pieces paying tribute to the Air Max, sport and our popular culture. I was pleased to hear that seven (7) of the pieces have been included in Nike’s SPORT IS ART show in Hong Kong. Below is a short film Nike put together featuring the show’s art.

Excerpt from Likespor

“…Embracing sports as a powerful art form, Nike Sportswear launches the Nike Sportswear Tee Collection, presenting the most enticing pop culture elements, together with Nike’s iconic designs all on a T-shirt. In celebration of this innovative initiative, from May 17th – 26th, the Nike Sportswear store on 7 Pak Sha Road will be transformed into a pop art gallery showcasing 25 tees designed by the most sought-after creative talents from 11 countries. To mark this special occasion, trend lovers, friends and media were invited to an exclusive preview kicked off on May 16th…”

The MAXNANA piece below is by Global Design Director at Nike, Kelvin Govey. Fantastic.
